The photo is this size because if I make it bigger, it gets blurry. |
This is my digital image from Louby Lou. I used Copics on these and my first ever "Spellbinder" die cut (with my Cuttlebug) to cut out the image. Some bling was placed strategically and a ribbon from Michael's $1 rack.
I inked the edges of the Spellbinder image with some brown ink.
Commentary: for a first time Spellbinder Nestabilities user, I find it a bit challenging. (I'm sure the pros are rolling their eyes- "Crike, How can it be challenging? It must be quite vacuous in that head of hers." I guess when that cracking noise emits from my Cuttlebug as I run the die cut through, I start freaking out. I'm sure I'll get used to it. And the creating the image within an image (ergo, "Nest-abilities)" --- isn't an easy thing for me. It just doesn't look right to me.
I liken the Nestabilities to using a Cuisinart... as opposed to using scissors or a punch is similar to using an Easy Bake Oven. But, I'm sure I'll get there one day. I think I just need more practice.
Enough babbling...
This card is actually being sent to Aidan. Aidan was diagnosed with T-Cell Leukemia. His story is posted on Mary's blog (www.cardztv.blogspot.com).
Hi N,
ReplyDeleteThis came out so cute! The shading looks great.
Awwww! Cute! Man, that lion has big feet...he must be related to Brodie!
ReplyDeleteYeh, the first time I put a nestie through my cuttlebug I freaked with all the cracking. But you know, I actually managed to snap a C plate by trying to jam the wrong sandwich through!LMAO!
Leo looks quite handsome! Love the background paper. Perfect for Leo.
ReplyDeleteLooks great Naomi! We all did that the first time we used our Cuttle Bugs too. The first time I heard that "crack" I thought I broke one of the plates. Lol ~jeni :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not laughing! The first time I used my cuttlebug with a spellbinders die, and heard the crackling noise, I thought I was breaking something! LOL.
ReplyDeleteYour card is adorable...and I see you're starting to get comfy with copics! Good for you!
Aiden will love it!
