Sammy Takes First Place at Agility

Sammy got First Place at Graduation for his Agility Class.

Here's the video, including me trying to keep up with him with a strained gluteus maximus and a sore lumbar.

And here's his photo.

Next time, we're going to try for the Intermediate class.  That class is done primarily offleash, which concerns me as Sam tends to sometimes decide he wants to take off for the highway that borders this park.

Oh, and I should add...
My little Friend,  Miss Turtle, made a comment to her mother.
"Mom, did you know what it would say if you took the "S" off of her blog name?  It'd say "Crapping in a Zoo!"  BAH HA HA HA HA HA"
Hrmph.  I know that Miss Smarty Pants.
:)
PS: I'll collect some of my "scraps" in the backyard JUST FOR YOU!

Agility Graduation

This morning was SamUL's last day of agility. Granted, the class was held over 7 weeks with about 1 hour a week so the fact that the dogs could even do the course is an accomplishment. Apparently, his high energy personality (he's a spaz) gave him an advantage in this particular activity. He was able to complete the course in 58 seconds. Granted, that probably is the time it takes him to dig a hole in the couch but I digress. You can watch his run here:

Here is our post-graduation trophy pose. (He got first place.)

No need for congratulations...
he's not that good of a dog.

Yes, that was my couch....

SamUL's agility class & a Party in my mouth

Today was a really nice day in Southern California. I started the morning out with a nice cardio work out trotting on an agility course with the Chi-weenie. Mind you, the intention was to walk the course when I originally enrolled him in this class because I have a back problem. But he loves it so I try to keep up.

I followed that lovely work out with a nice meal. I ate at a restaurant that I'd heard a lot about on the radio. It's called Haven Pub.

It was really good!!! REALLY GOOD. Here are some of the dishes we ordered:

soaked in beer, fresh herbs, garlic aioli
