Happy Bird-Day... and some photos

Here is a birthday gift bag and card that I made for a friend of mine.  The gift bag was cut from the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut cartridge.

For the card, I used a Paper Trey Ink die along with their Birthday Treats stamp set.  I colored the image with Copics.  The purple ink is Hero Arts while the red ink is Jenni Bowlin.  I thought it needed something more so I took my clear glitter gel pen and outlined some of the purple stamped image.

Here is the gift bag I made using the Cricut cartridge (Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More).  The little doggie is from a dog button set found at Michael's.

Today, our photo class went to a farm to take photos.  We had some 'models' dress up.  I took the three photos using my 'auto-bracketing function' which essentially takes 3 photos one after the other but takes it in 3 different exposures.  Hopefully, you can tell the difference.  This gives you the option to use 1 of 3 photos rather than just the 1 photo you took.  I think the last one is the optimal photo.

Here is a doggie, Missie, who is a resident on the farm.   Of course, people were taking photos of the models and I'm chasing down the animals on the farm.

A Super Creative Gift!!!

My friend is SO creative!!!  Using Tags, Bags, Boxes and More (Cricut Cartridge), she made this fabulous matchbook.  Inside, was a cute little accordion card with photos of Sam and Colt. She is such a dear friend who is so talented and such a good soul!!!

And then she made this great little container with M&M Pretzels. She bought the container at Michaels (complete with little silver spoon) and decorated it!

A small gift bag...

I created this bag from "Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More."  It took me a lot longer to make because I wanted to use pattern paper, but then discovered that on the other side of the bag, my leaves were upside down.  So, I cut it 3 times:  I cut it in light green thick cardstock.  And twice more in the pattern paper shown in the photo.  I cut out the pattern twice so that when I adhered it on the green cardstock, the main panels were facing upright.  I took green tissue paper and stamped my sentiments from "Tiny Tags II" (Paper Trey Ink).

The pink ink is from Stampin' Up (Melon Mambo) and the brown ink is from Jenni Bowlin

This is a neat Christmas gift my dear friend made me.  She took Sam's photo & created this cute photo holder!!! I know you've seen others on other websites but I love the colors and ribbon and reindeer.  I had to share!

Valentine's Candy Boxes

Here is a super simple treat box.  It is used with the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut cartridge. It is the "heart box."  I used DCWV Valentine's Day paper.  I cut a small square of clear acetate plastic for the window (which I got at Michaels).  I believe it's by Graphic X.  I then filled it with M and M's (plain and peanut!).  

  

I only have a Cricut Create (rather than an Expression) so I made the box as large as I could on my mat.  (I used my Gypsy to plan the size on the mat).  The box surface is about 1 3/4" x 1 3/4"

The flower was just used for the photo. I ripped that off a gift bag someone gave me.



ADDENDUM TO "THE DRESS:"
Holly: yes, I sent my friend the card. She LOL'd.  She was so surprised to get it and yet, she was amazed at how perfect Marlene's image was!!!  Needless to say, she loved the card, despite my odd reptilian skin color.  C'mon, don't you think my skin looks the underbelly of croc?
Marlene: yes, I still have the dress.  AND I plan to model it and post the photo so all you 5 Readers can view it... in all its glory. 
Perhaps the skin coloring is accurate.  I tend to have a yellowish hue in the winter months...  a shade my dermotologist prefers as opposed to my normal 'sun-worshipping-sans-sunscreen-toasted-whole-wheat-english-muffin' look.

MARY'S MINI ALBUM BLOG HOP

Mary, over at CardZtv is having a mini album blog hop.  I've made a few mini albums in my time and all of them have been because of Mary. She has such great videos  This is a recent "Toilet Paper Roll" mini album that I made for a friend whose dog's name is Zoe.

The winds returned a bit today (although not as bad as two weeks ago).  It was a lovely day in So Cal so I'm glad I was out running errands and taking the boys to Subway, rather than staring at the ceiling with Kleenex stuffed up my nose.  

Off to watch "Hot Tub Time Machine." Hopefully John Cusack will make it all worth while as I've heard mixed reviews on this movie. 80's ROCK!

Hair Crimped, hair ribbon from Crafting Store, skirt from Forever21 or one of those Teen stores in the mall, legwarmers and bangles, gloves and earrings from one of those mall stores, leggings from WalMart or Target, and attitude?  MINE!

 

Golf's Father's Day Card

My Malamute Mix, Kodi, used to love to play golf with my dad. My dad would hit the light plastic ball and Kodi would go chase it... sometimes 4 houses away. He'd bring it back to my dad (for the most part, not damaged). My dad's nickname was "Golf." All the dogs knew it. Well, it has stuck. If I tell the current pack of dogs that we're going to see Golf, they know who I'm talking about.
