I made this "happy healing" card for a friend. I used clear embossing powder and then used my favorite Distress Ink (Peacock Feathers) and Perfect Pearls Mister.
Although it's not pictured, I did put red stickles on the yellow center of the flower...

Reading: John Dies at the End (David Wong)
I found this really cute website called: Cookies, Cupcakes and Cardio.
She bakes and decorates and hikes. Her YouTube baking videos are really cool. And her blog postings are neat.
Check out this You Tube Video of her hiking up in South East British Columbia. It looks gorgeous.
Hop on over. I think her videos are really great. [I even watched the video of the cupcake eating competition. Cranbrook sounds like a cute little town-- it's just that snow/cold weather.
I am allergic to sleet, snow, icy rain...]
Excuse the fur but I live in a small zoo. Should you see a Chiweenie running by with glue dots on his face, please stop him. I need those dots.

Lawnscaping Challenge based on a Mojo Monday sketch
VOILA!!!
Enjoy! It's been super warm here (loving it!). Not so sure the chinchillas are happy about it. Their AC unit has been going full blast.

Sebastian's card
Creepy Glowbugg has a link to the story about a little boy who is going in for (another) surgery on 2/15/12. His medical condition isn't one that most people have heard of... Arthrogryposis. Please click on the link to learn more about Sebastian and his condition.
***If you have an extra card, laying about, perhaps you could consider sending it to him. :)

Here is the card I made for him....
For the front of my card, I used the Hoot n Holler Cricut cartridge, Scrappy Mom's sentiment, and an Action Wobble. The banner is Lawn Fawn, stamped in Jenni Bowlin ink. The color of ink for the sentiment is Peeled Paint (Tim Holtz Distress Ink). I used some glitter to bling up my owl.
The inside sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. The cut out Giraffe is from the big pack of Recollections (Michaels) Zoo assortments.

Slip and fall....
My friend slipped and fell and broke her ankle. Poor thing! I wanted to pick up her spirits (in addition to the pain meds they gave her) so I made her this card. I used Paper Smooches and Lawn Fawn stamps to create this get well card for her. I used Copics to color the image as well as Spellbinders Nestabilities. The string was from craft string at Michaels. You probably can't see the glossy accents on the eyes but I did put glossy accents on the bird's eyes. The ink used on the bandaids was Weather Vane from Jenni Bowlin.
I used Shabby Shutters Distress Ink on the inner 'scalloped' circle by "masking" the bird.
Glossy Accents are on the orange portions of the shell. The top to the ice pack was in silver gel pen. Copics were used to color the image. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn stamps.

Get Well Soon, courtesy of Lawn Fawn
This image is courtesy of Lawn Fawn's stamp set (On the Mend). I used Copics to color the image as well as Spellbinders Nestabilities for the circle and scallop circle. The background was created with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

So, Colt tried to get into Sam's green chair. He moved slowly because it's not firm like a normal sofa chair. Once he got in it, I think he realized how very small it was and that there is no armrest to put his chin on. He looks crammed in it.... He only lasted 10 minutes.
Here's the photo I got of him:

Get well soon...
My uncle had to have a minor procedure... (don't you hate hearing that word? "Procedure"... It invokes images of sutures and a scalpel. (grimace)). Anyway, he is recovering slowly at home and that's great news. Here's a little card I made him using my new Paper Trey Ink Vintage Picnic stamp. The background is a stamping set from Michaels ("Inkadinkadoo- Thoughts for a Day"). I colored the images with Copics and also highlighted with Liquid Pearls. The sentiment is from PTI Vintage Picnic. I distressed with Tim Holtz' Peeled Paint onto white cardstock. The sentiment was stamped in Jenni Bowlin's Seed Packet ink pad. You can see I also used Stickles and a Recollections Rose. The twine is from PTI. I saw Britta Swiderski use it and I thought I'd give it a try. It's nice twine (as far as twine goes).

Congestion.... BE GONE!
The winds started a little over a week ago in So Cal. Most of the time, I can avoid getting allergy-related issues but this time, it got me. So, I spent most of the weekend staring at the ceiling, watching Supernatural (season 5), popping Mucimex, downing cough syrup, and thinking of all the cards I wanted to make when I could sit upright again. Luckily, I had my own furry hot water bottles to keep me warm.
This is how I felt most of the week!
Here is a card I started coloring last night with my Prismacolor pencils. I used some Stickles to bling it up.
The sentiment came from an acrylic set that I got from Michaels. The flower came from Michaels--- oh, and the ribbon? That came from Michaels.
OHHHH good grief... and the snail came from The Digi Shack: Brian Lock!!!
