Excuse the fur but I live in a small zoo. Should you see a Chiweenie running by with glue dots on his face, please stop him. I need those dots.

My Baby Gift Card holder...
I've been having a creative block. I feel like all my cards look the same and even sketches don't help me. It was getting me down...
Long story short, my friend reminded me that I don't have to always make a A2 size card. LOL. She reminded me of a recent video from Mary at Cardztv, creating an easel card. I made this card using my only baby-oriented images. (Yes, I know you've seen them before. It's the only set I have related to babies. It's a wonderful set though! (from Stampin' Up)). I love the way this turned out.
I did put Glossy Accents on the bubbles and used Liquid Pearls on the dots on the 'onesies?' The gift card is in a coin envelope that is glued to the base behind the popped up panel ("congrats").
Mind you, I am getting the Lawn Fawn baby stamp set because I think I need a back up baby stamp set.
ALSO, I cleaned my garage AND my scrapbooking room (only to find that I think I need to get another desk in this room because it's too crowded in here)... and in the course of doing so, I couldn't find the cord for my camera to transfer my photos. Well, this morning I found it. YAY. I was able to load my photos and hopefully, I'll have more cards for you this week. (Warning-- "A2 size" with the same sketch pattern).

Valley of Fire, NV and a baby gift card
I've got a lot of photos and CARDS to share with you....
Let's start with the card...
I clear embossed my baby stamp series from Stampin' Up. Using Broken China and Tumbled Glass, I created a soft background (a splash of Perfect Pearls gave it a shimmer). I colored over each baby with my finger dabber using Peacock Feather. The umbrellas are from Paper Trey Ink's Scattered Showers, as is the sentiment.
Amuse-bouche:
So much to show you. I went on another photo trip to Valley of Fire, NV. It was a quick trip. Two days, up and back. We had a grand time. The weather was nice (low 80's).
This is the Valley of Fire, State Park in NV.

But as always, I was glad to get home to the boys and Ezra.
See you tomorrow!!! Yes, another post! (SHOCK... AWE!)

Still floating in the stratosphere... with 12" less hair....
Finally back... with a card (and unrelated scrapping photos).
Last year's New Year's Resolution was to make all 'original design cards.' This year's resolution? TO MAKE CARDS!!!
AGH!
So, here's one for this quarter. (LOL).
I cut paper from a DCWV paper pad for a Baby Shower. The image is from Stampin' Up. I colored with Copics and accented with Liquid Pearls.
Amuse-Bouche:
Here's a photo of me with my cut hair that I'm donating to Locks Of Love.
My head feel so much lighter. Now I can DEFINITELY hear the rattling when I shake my head (LOL).
And, I went to the 2013 Toshiba Golf Classic yesterday. I followed Freddie Couples, David Frost and Jim Gallagher, Jr around the Newport Beach Country Club (along with about 100 other people).
Here's a photo that I took:
(cameras weren't allowed so I was sneaking 1 photo to capture the event).
And last of all.... YOU MUST SEE THIS DANCING CHILEAN DOG!!!!
Viv: Enjoy!

A baby gift card holder.... and some more Dog Halloween photos...
Here is my gift box for a baby girl gift... (It's very similar to the wedding box I just did)
The Ingredients:
I used embellishments that I purchased from Michaels. The charm is from the baby section, the brads are from the brad/scrapbooking section and the little duck, letter blocks are buttons that I cut the holes off with wire cutters (on the back of each figure).
The paper is from a DCWV paper pack for "baby girl."
This tag was made with an old Stampin' Up baby image, colored with Copics and white enamel drops.
Spellbinders nestabilities diecut was used to cut out the baby image.
Amuse-bouche:
I took the boys on a walk this weekend and found some Halloween stuff still up.
Here they are:

A baby boy named Ian...
A friend of mine is expecting her third child.
Here is a gift card box that I made for my friend:
The sentiments were from a large 12x12 DCWV Baby Boy paper pack (and I cut the sentiments out and glued them to the panels). I used Distress Ink around the edges of some of the sentiments (snail and "heaven sent").
Amuse-bouche:
Current favorites:
Reading: The Night Circus
DVD: Angel (all seasons)

Snack food: Yogurt covered pretzels

"Going Buggy" with Cardztv Stamps
You can find more of Mary's fabulous stamps HERE.
I used a Hero Arts CLING stamp with white ink on pink paper. I cut the buggy from Simply Charmed (Cricut). The stamped face is from Peachy Keen stamps. The paper is actually white cardstock but I made the flesh color using Tea Dye Distress ink. The black wheels are actually white cardstock that was inked with Black Soot Distress Ink as was the pink fringe to the buggy. I used Worn Lipstick Distress ink to color the fringe. The sheen on the buggy is from pink Liquid Pearl. Pink Stickles were used on the bow.
The sentiment was stamped with Melon Mambo. I cut the corners on the white sentiment cardstock by hand and layered it on rectangle pink cardstock.

A baby shower card...
I made this baby shower card from Scattered Showers stamp and die set from Paper Trey Ink. The block letters were purchased at Michaels (buttons sections) and glued with a hot glue gun. The punch is a Martha Stewart Punch-around-the-page.
The sentiment "congrats" is from Lawn Fawn and the watermark is an old block stamp that I got a long time ago. "Baby Things" from "All Night Media (San Rafael, CA). The ink is "lavender sachet" from Jenni Bowlin.
Amuse-bouche: I finished Season 1 and 2 of Vampire Diaries. Now working on Season 1 of Dexter. (I made a lot of cards this weekend... so there will be posts this week!!!).

NEW BABY
One of my friends is having a baby. Here is a card I made for the expecting couple.
The background is a series of Stampin' Up stamps that I did on 2 layers of white cardstock (to make them thick). I then distressed them with a Tim Holtz Distresser/(razor) to make them look frayed, like a quilt. I then glued them on pink cardstock. The image was colored with Copics and I did put Stickles on the hair barettes. I also put Glossy Accents on the water in the toilet. I added some Liquid Pearls on the bathwater on one of the bottom left square. I took a silver pen and colored the toilet handle as well (snicker).

***Did you check out that new little button on my blog's top right corner. Yup! Isn't that a cute image of Marlene???? I believe Sassy Cheryl did it and she is one of my favorite image creators!!!!!.
