Once Upon A Princess...

I have a very dear friend who is an excellent scrapper.  She really needs to have a blog to share her talents.

Today, we met up and spent 2 hours talking about  glimmer mist.  (haha!!!!).  But she showed me her latest creation. It is SOOO cute that I had to share it with you.  She actually created this for her niece to pass out for Valentine's day at school.   These envelopes were made out of the Once Upon a Princess cartridge (page 73).  The paper is Bo Bunny.  She cut these at 2" and 2.5".  She also used a scallop punch on the flap of the envelope.   Inside, she has a small piece of Bazzill cardstock that the kids can write a note on.

And look at her Valentine's Day S-Card!!!

Here is her sample of homemade glimmer mist. What I wanted to share with you was her idea of taking white Prima flowers and spraying her homemade Glitter Mist (made with Pearl Ex, water, and Adirondack Ink- shaken in a Mini-Mister (all available at Michaels)).  She is awesome.
Enjoy!

Boss's Day

I thought I'd share the card that I made for my boss for boss's day. I tried to make it masculine with the colors but threw in the flower to add color. When you open the S-card, there is a photo of him and me at an event. Haha. He's going to laugh.

If you made a card like this for someone, you could put anything in the area where the photo is. There is also a small vertical rectangle area on the inside of the card that you can write a sentiment or note, as well.

As you can see, I used the "Thank you" cuttlebug embossing folder. The rest is the George and Basic Cricut cartridge (I used the Design Studio software to fit it into the card area). I got the flower at Michaels ("Daisy Doodles.") I faux-stitched in white around the green edge.

Sympathy card

This is a really simple card. It's a S style card. I used a Marvy punch and embossed a Cuttlebug design on it (the flower). This came from the 4-pack "Best Friends" embossing pack. I put little jewels in the flower buds. I used my white gel pen to dot around the punch. And I used my cuttlebug embossing folder to bring some highlights to the green background ("Stylized Flowers")

October is here....

... and that means Halloween.  Here are a couple cards I made over the weekend and I thought I'd share them now before I forget.

Happy Haunting cartridge and just strips of halloween cardstock with a Michaels' ribbon.  I dotted the edge. This is a portrait card.

Happy Haunting Cartridge in a S-shape card.  Cardstock is from K & Company.  I think I got the spiders at Michaels.

The paper is from the K and Company pack, the spider web punch is from Martha Stewart and the Cricut images are from Happy Hauntings

Note: I tried to make a latch to keep the card closed by using the pumpkin vine.  I made the pumpkin vine 3 layers thick so it was easier to 'latch'.

Happy Friday!!!!
