What??? Another Penny Black card??? really??? NO!

Have I told you how much I love Penny Black's Cow Series? Did you know I love black and white cows? (Yes, Viv!!! ).   I love cows!!!!   L.O.V.E.
How's this card?
I stamped my image with Memento black ink but then took my Memento black pen and colored in the black part of the image over again... made all the difference.  I used Glossy Accents on the balloon, Liquid Pearl on the purse, Stickles on the cake (and coffee cup) along with Glossy Accent on the purple bow.

The banner was made from Lawn Fawns banner stamp as well as using the Jessie's ABC Font.

You can't see the Glossy balloons but they're there.
Amuse-bouche:  For your entertainment... one of my favorite scenes from The Office-- featuring my beloved Dwight Schrute.

If you recall, I have a Dwight Schrute bobblehead that travels with me.  He's travelled to many places with me...
Here he is in Greece, with some real Greek Navy officers (who had no idea why I was asking them to hold this bobblehead and pose for a photo. "Crazy Asian lady.")

Farewell Summer....

I made these two cards, using my new Penny Black stamp... (gosh, I LOVE these stamps).  My two friends and I do a lot of stuff during the summer... and with the LA Fair, our summer activities have come to an end so I made these cards for them. Well, also because I REALLY wanted to use this Penny Black Stamp.  I used Glossy Accents on the cup and Stickles on the bikini.   And of course, my instrument of choice are my COPICS.
Inside, I had stamped "FAREWELL SUMMER" with my Jessie's ABC's by Lawn Fawn (no photo).

A new puppy....

A friend of mine just got a new puppy.  She got a Coton de Tulear.  Well, as all of us know (who have had puppies), he is learning where he can potty and ergo.... this card.

The image was from Ms. Marlooney!!!! She gives away free and hilarious images on her blog postings plus she sells them via Squigglefly. [CORRECTION:  Tammy informed me via Comment, that this may be found on Dude Time Doodles.] I used Spellbinders Nestabilities for the frame, Copics, white flocking powder for the fur (can you see it?), and Glossy Accent on the collar.  I also put a bit of brown flocking powder in the "gift pile."  The sentiment was my own (simple) by using Lawn Fawn's "Jessie's ABC's" and Lawn Fawn's banner stamps.  The sentiment was stamped in Jenni Bowlin Brown Sugar ink.

Scrappy Mom's sentiment that is embossed in white

Amuse-bouche:  I started watching another tv show.  As you know, I'm a big Adam Carolla fan and decided to check out his "The Car Show" on the Speed Channel.  Although I know  nothing about cars (even how to open the hood without pulling out the manual), I really enjoy this show. It's interesting, funny, and I am starting to appreciate a little bit about various designs and manufacturers of cars.  I watched an episode today about the Ford Company's test field in Michigan. It was really interesting.

Happy Birthday, Mammoth

I've got a friend who is a big guy.  When I say big... think "MAMMOTH."  He is 6'5" (or some ungodly height) and as wide as a door.  Recently, he gave me some advice about what I should do after my work out.  (Note to self:  Diet Coke is not a substitute for water...  Multi-vitamins should be part of your daily intake).
He just had a birthday, so here is a card I made for him.  The image came from Dude Time Doodles (aka Bonibleaux Designs).  The sentiment...  I wrote myself on a "Lawn Fawn" stamp border.  I blinged the sweat drops with light blue Liquid Pearls.  I used a silver gel pen on the weight bar and I glossy accented the "0" on his tank top.  Copics were my instrument of choice.  I used Fiskar Deckle scissors around the image (after I applied Barn Door Distress Ink on the edges).

The handwritten sentiment is my own but the stamp came from Scrappy Mom's.  The image is from Dude Time Doodles and I used Liquid Pearls for the skirt, Glossy Accent on the shield and sword, gold pen on the laces,... oh, and I used white embossing powder on the sentiment.

Amuse-bouche:
Went to the LA County Fair this weekend.  It is a HUGE fair, in comparison to the Orange County Fair I went to about 2 months ago.  Here are some photos of some things I found interesting...

I did not try this. I did try Fried Pickles with Ranch

I never have seen this again but I don't eat bacon so...

This was a special exhibit at the fair. We didn't see it but I would have been curious to see this.

Happy Halloween --- GRR

Here is a Halloween card I made from a Penny Black stamp.  I put silver ink on the teeth of this cute cat.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's.  Coloring is with Copics.  And the embellishments were from Michaels (K & Company).  I did use Spiced Marmalade on the edges of the image.  (I LOVE THIS IMAGE!)
The ink used on the sentiment is Brown Sugar (by Jenni Bowlin).

Amuse-bouche;
New shirt at Target for Halloween...

He better considering he's still alive after eating 2 couches.

Digital Delights--- Thank you card

Today, I used a Digital Delights image for a thank you card.  I colored with Copics and lastly, put Glossy Accents on the flowers.

Thank you card

I wanted to use my Lawn Fawn ("Critters in the Burbs") set and this is what I came up with.  The background was made with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The images were colored with Copics.  I did put some Martha Stewart white flocking powder on the dog's muzzle.  I used a sparkly pen on one of the butterflies (I bought the pen from Michael's.  It is a Sakura Gelly pen).  I used Stickles on the other butterfly (pink wings).  Lastly, I used a Silver colored gel pen on the dog's license.

A bovine, ewe, and pig walked into a bar....

Just kidding....

but, it's a catchy title for this new card.  The image should be familiar to you (I've used it before but I do love it).  The card is actually 5.5" x 5.5" in size.  The sentiment came from a Lawn Fawn stamp set called "On the Mend."

Amuse-bouche:
Did I mention that I also started watching a show called Tanked? It's on Animal Planet.  It's about a company in Vegas that makes high-end/customized acrylic fish tanks.  It's interesting and entertaining.
(Yes, I watch a lot of tv)....

Happy Birthday card... a la bovine

I have been hard at work all weekend on some cards to post this week.  Here is the first one from Penny Black's cow series (available for purchase on www.simonsaysstamp.com).
I love this cow series.   (Ha,.... wait until you see tomorrow's card).  I used Glossy Accents on the bow, Stickles on the dish, and a touch of Liquid Pearl on the purse.  The twine was purchased a my local stamp store but Scrappy Mom's sells Baker's Twine as well.  The sentiment came from Scrappy Mom's.

Inside the card, Scrappy Mom's sentiment.

Amuse-bouche:  What has been in the background as I have been scrapping?

Also, I found a great series on Netflix.  It's called Top Shot and it's on the History Channel.  It's really interesting. It's a reality show featuring firearms, bow & arrows, tomahawks... whatever.  I'm only on episode 5 (Season 1) but I find it very interesting.   Here's the link to the History Channel:   http://www.history.com/shows/top-shot

Another beautiful wedding....

I know this is very similar to my recent post but I don't have any cards to show you. I've been very busy with work and weddings.  Here's one that I just went to in Temecula, at a family winery.

It was a lovely wedding.  Love was in abundance.

This took place over a pond on the property-- it was such a beautiful setting.

Here is my wedding gift card box. I used the Cricut for the side panels to cut words from the Sweethearts cartridge.

The butterflies were punched out of the invitation paper (that had vines and grapes on it).

This cake was made by my co-worker who made the cake for the bride & groom.  (She's a beautiful cake designer).
