Grieving the loss of a family pet

I've had two friends who have lost their pets recently due to old age and illness.  Here is a sympathy card I made for the using Hero Arts ink, Hero Arts background stamp, Spellbinders diecut, and Hero Arts Sympathy sentiment set.

I know a lot of friends with pets and when their pets pass, I typically send a donation to the Kansas State University Pet Tribute Program in memory of the pet. They in turn, send a wonderful letter to the owner that honors the life of the pet.  It's a wonderful gift to receive if you have lost a pet.  If you click on the link below, you can read more about the program as well as other tributes.

CAN I PLAY WITH THE TYPEWRITER?

We recently celebrated my aunt and father's birthday.  Here is my card that I made for my father. The image was colored on Cryogen Paper. WOW!!! SO much better than my Georgia Pacific Wal-Mart paper.  The ink used for the stamping was Hero Arts Shadow Ink and Soft Hues ink pads. I used Soft Lilac to stamp Happy Birthday on the purple paper (barely can see it in the photo).
I also used a new Hero Arts Birthday stamp set (the Happy Birthday balloon and the background stamp "Happy Birthday").

Amuse-bouche:
We took the family out for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory last weekend.  A good time was had by all...
Here are the photos followed by a very funny video/story. (scroll down).

The typewriter story:
My aunt has an electric typewriter.  When the nephews found that out, they asked to see it so they can 'try' it.  Here is the video.  Note: 1 minute in, Nephew #3 says "how do you delete?"

Bugaboo Stamps and Easter!!!!

Here is my last Easter card- and note that Bugaboo Stamps (where I got this image) is having a sale on all Easter images. Head on over there- by clicking HERE. The sale goes on until 4/9/12.

The background stamp in a Stampin' Up image with Stickles.  The matte is from Spellbinders Nestabilities. The image itself was colored with Copics.

Happy Easter, everyone!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

I saw this image on Tammy's blog and had to buy it.  It's available at Bugaboo Stamps.    I used a small easter egg stamp from Stampin' Up to create the background. (I used white ink and some pink stickles on the egg).   There are two spellbinders nestabilities to frame the image.  The punch I used was a Fiskar's punch.

Watch Out!!! A New Driver on the Road

One of my friends FINALLY got his driver's license.  I told him to warn us all when he's on the road.
Here's a fun little card I made him.   Using Copics, Paper Smooches sentiment, and Nestabilities... I tried my best to bring this image from Bugaboo Stamps  to life.    And of course, I had to make a corresponding envelope.
I put Glossy Accents on the windshield and Silver Gel pen on the bumper/rims.  I used little brads on the hubcaps.
