"Bee Happy" with Cardztv Stamps

Here's my second card featuring Cardztv Stamps (card # 1 can be found on the post of February 21, 2012).  

For this card, I used a combination of two Penny Black background stamps from the clear stamps called "Trims."  I stamped them in white ink and Melon Mambo (Stampin' Up).

I cut two mattes from Elegant Edges (Green and the pattern paper). The bee came from Create a Critter (Cricut) with Liquid Pearl on the antennaes and distressed with Tea Dye ink.  Stickles were placed on the blue wings. "Bee Happy" was stamped in Melon Mambo and cut with a Spellbinders Nestability.

This card was made with Elegant Edges, Liquid Pearls, Smooches, Create a Critter, and Glitter (snow).

I thought Christmas was over....

Maybe for you... but I'm still getting my cards and gifts out. Yes, it's sad but true.  I just can't seem to move fast enough (which if you knew me, you would find it hard to believe).  Some of my past nicknames have been "Spaz" or "Energizer Bunny."(haha).

Here's a card I made for my aunt... to go with her Christmas gift (that I still need to mail). I made it with my Gypsy, using Elegant Edges.  The reindeer came from Doodlecharms (I think).  I used Tea Dye on the edges of the reindeer and cut out red felt for the nose.  How'z that for crafty!!! (snort).

I made this little gift basket for my German penpal Stefani.  I threw in some Studio G ink pads, 2 sentiment wood block stamps, and some glitter glue (Studio G).  I put it all in a Ikea Pail.  I also put in one of my favorite new items:  Burt's Bees:  Pomegranate Replenishing Lip Moisturizer.  I'm not one to put lip balm on my lips but I really like the way this makes my lips feel... and it sure does make my upper lip smell good.  I also gave her some glitter pens (not photographed) and some notecards that she can use with the stamps and glitter to bling up.  She doesn't make cards but perhaps I can introduce her to the most BASIC of card making. The flowers were on sale at Michaels!!! Sooooo cute and spring-like.

Thank you for all the wonderful comments about my pets.  I know, I should just re-name my blog:  "Photos of my pets... OH, and a few artsy crafty cards."   Speaking of which, this weekend, I'm going to try to shoot a video with the chinchillas.

A newborn is coming...

One of my co-workers is having a baby so I made this little scrapbook for her...

Here is the front cover.  The album is 4"x6" on chipboard.  I put various papers on it and then put distress ink on the edges

Congratulations from Pooh!

I made this congratulations card for a friend who loves Pooh. I used the Pooh cartridge, action wobble, and Elegant Edges (love that cartridge!).  You can also see that I used Distress Ink along the edges.  The blue paper is from DCWV (Poises).  The purple background is simply Distress Ink on white cardstock that was applied via a blending stamp.  The sentiments came from Scrappy Mom's.

Happy Birthday to my Uncle...

Today, August 10, is my Uncle's birthday.  Here is a card I made him.  This cute octopus came from the Birthday Bash cartridge. I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder and background stamp (and sentiment stamp) from Scrappy Mom's.  The card was created by using the Elegant Edges cartridge (welding a rectangle to one of the images via the Gypsy).  I also used the same cartridge to do the two mats in yellow and light blue.  I also threw some Stickles on there and google eyes and white gel stitching.... oh, and what else? Ah, yes...  Baker's twine from Scrappy Mom's.  Oh, one more thing-- the mat that the sentiment is on was cut using Fiskar's Deckle scissors.  

I hope he gets it in time.
