Finally, a post related to CRAFTING

This is a gift card box that I made for my friend's birthday.
The inspiration came from Nicole at the Canadian Nickel (one of my Scrapping Idols) and this site

I bought the flowers on the box lid at Michael's in the bridal area and just used ZOTS to adhere them.  The clear acetate strips were cut from an 8.5x11" packet of 'acetate' paper that I bought at Michaels.  The manufacturer is Grafix, "clear craft plastic."

The Gift Box
The plastic strips give the idea of floating flowers

A side view of how the strips are adhered with ATG glue strip

  1. Fantastic job! I hope you gave Nicole a heads-up on your bloggy post! (She'll love the acknowledgment, even if it goes to her big fat head...heehee...just kidding...I love Nicole!)

  2. HEY... so true! OK this is stunning and a FAB idea with the little gift card thingy in the center! So adorable...I hope your friend LOVED IT! I am going to steal it and post it on my FB page. So people can see how cheeky Marlene is to me!
