Happy Birthday, Mammoth

I've got a friend who is a big guy.  When I say big... think "MAMMOTH."  He is 6'5" (or some ungodly height) and as wide as a door.  Recently, he gave me some advice about what I should do after my work out.  (Note to self:  Diet Coke is not a substitute for water...  Multi-vitamins should be part of your daily intake).
He just had a birthday, so here is a card I made for him.  The image came from Dude Time Doodles (aka Bonibleaux Designs).  The sentiment...  I wrote myself on a "Lawn Fawn" stamp border.  I blinged the sweat drops with light blue Liquid Pearls.  I used a silver gel pen on the weight bar and I glossy accented the "0" on his tank top.  Copics were my instrument of choice.  I used Fiskar Deckle scissors around the image (after I applied Barn Door Distress Ink on the edges).

The handwritten sentiment is my own but the stamp came from Scrappy Mom's.  The image is from Dude Time Doodles and I used Liquid Pearls for the skirt, Glossy Accent on the shield and sword, gold pen on the laces,... oh, and I used white embossing powder on the sentiment.

Amuse-bouche:
Went to the LA County Fair this weekend.  It is a HUGE fair, in comparison to the Orange County Fair I went to about 2 months ago.  Here are some photos of some things I found interesting...

I did not try this. I did try Fried Pickles with Ranch

I never have seen this again but I don't eat bacon so...

This was a special exhibit at the fair. We didn't see it but I would have been curious to see this.

Look what was on top of the cargo they were pulling... a real Dalmatian!!!

  2. Your card is adorable. Whaddya mean diet coke is not a sub for water? Okay, maybe not diet coke - but diet pepsi, for sure!!!!!! :)

I LOVE deep fried pickles & ranch....and you would have loved the Body Worlds exhibit we had in Philly last year. The whole fam went, and we really enjoyed it. Amazing stuff.
