Paper Hugs

I wanted to share a gift I made for a friend of mine. It's a box that I made ($1 recipe box from Michaels that I re-papered).  Momo (www.madebymomo.blogspot.com) has the video on how to make it.  I then created some small 3"X3" cards for my friend to put in her daughter's lunch bag.  Here is the box and here are the cards.  I also made envelopes out of plain white copy paper.  All the cards and envelopes fit nicely in two rows inside the box.

So, that's what I was working on over Thanksgiving but I couldn't give the reveal until I gave out the gift.

I'm addicted to Creations by Christina's videos   www.creationsbychristina.blogspot.com.  Some of her techniques are hard for me but I like her videos.  I've shared them with my co-workers and we love her.  Her videos are great (like how to make crushed flowers and glimmer mist).

Amuse-bouche:
And I know you all just can't WAIT for another dog photo.  Well, you are in for a treat.  As soon as I figure out how to edit this video I took, I will post my "Sammy vs the Toy Monkey."

Thank you to those of you (Viv and Tammy and Marlene and Jeni... the list goes on and on) who humor me as I display my pets latest endeavors on my blog.

  1. This is awesome! I think this is a fabulous idea! I have a friend who has two twins, age 6. Their father was a jockey (rode racehorses) and he was killed while riding in a race 90 days ago. They are having a difficult time coping. Thank you so much for sharing this idea! Can you give me some information so I can make these and send to their mother to put in their lunches? What carts did you use and what sizes, etc. Would you mind emailing me? I think this would be perfect. One twin is Garrett and the other is Olivia. My email address is sheree.burress@gmail.com. My blog is cravinscrappin.blogspot.com, and the story about these twins and their Dad is posted on an older post on my blog. Thank you so much!
